“Everybody needs a safe place.” — The last line in an ode by Mary Oliver to her dogs. One of my solaces is the tender moments sitting before sunsets, indulging in my awes and curiosities; almost always accompanied by my Zoë. This one pays homage to the genuine and unspoken understanding between us and our little companions.
